In a special to the Portland Press Herald, Dr. Daniel Bryant argues that propping up our failing healthcare system, at great expense, “will have negative effects on patients, staff and taxpayers”.
Instead he proposes a public universal plan, with “simple, transparent, income-based health care tax” which would replace current premiums and cost-sharing and eliminate point-of-service charges.
