Join us in Augusta to Testify for the All Maine Health Program & more!

Despite the proposed constraints in the state budget and the retrenchment in social programs, Maine AllCare believes that Maine must move forward with publicly funded health care coverage for all Mainers.  Maine is facing a healthcare crisis, and we can’t afford to wait.

We are actively supporting three bills in the Maine Legislature this session:
        1. An Act to Create the All Maine Health Program (based on the plan Maine AllCare has developed)
        2. A Resolve to Study the Costs and Funding of a Universal Healthcare Plan for Maine
        3. An Act to impose a Moratorium on the Ownership or Operation of Maine Hospitals by Private Equity Hospitals or Real Estate Investment Trusts  (a response to the current fiscal crisis at Northern Light Health)

You can join us to testify in one, two or all three hearings!

Will you sign up to join our team of advocates as we gear up for these days of action and prepare to give testimony?

You can also sign up to join our social media team. Your community is your sphere of influence and sometimes so much good can be done just by sharing a post, an article and information about our bills!

We expect the hearings to occur at the end of March or sometime in early April. We will have a 2-week notice, and we want to be ready!

Game on, right?

Join us to learn about the bills, write and give testimony and ask your elected officials to support the bills in Augusta.

As we know more, we will update you.

Stay tuned!
