Groups support new study about single payer health care
A bill introduced by Rep. Paulette Beaudoin, D-Biddeford received unanimous favorable public comments by numerous organizations including Maine AllCare, AFL-CIO, Maine People's Alliance and the National Association of Social Workers. Dr. Phil Caper, Vice Chairman of Maine AllCare, an organization formed exclusively to promote universal, high quality and affordable health care for the people of Maine, testified on February 9th 2011 before the Insurance and Financial Services Committee in support of the updating the 2002 study.
