Maine Legislative Task Force News – Maine AllCare

Maine Legislative Task Force News

Some of the audience waiting to testify before the Healthcare Task Force.

From Senator Geoff Gratwick, MAC Board member and member of the legislature and Task Force on Healthcare:

The Long Range Planning Subcommittee of the Health Care Task Force (HCTF) will be holding a series of telephone conferences over the next six weeks with representatives from Dirigo (Trish Riley), Vermont, Colorado and Maryland. We will also hear about the Iceland’s HC system.

Question:  What would you do differently if you were to start your initiative again in this political and economic climate? i.e. What should Maine learn from the experience of others?

Format: First hour – questions and answers, presenter and HCTF members and Second hour – committee discussion

These are public meetings but given the format there will not be an opportunity for public comment. If you have questions please fee free to email them to me during the discussion.  Email is geoff.gratwick@legislature.maine.gov.

You can attend the conferences in Room 220 in the Cross Office Building or  Audio of the study group meetings should be available through the Legislature’s website through the link for the IFS Committee at http://legislature.maine.gov/Audio/
